The early 80’s were a turbulent time for the home computer market, and for me at least formed the very beginnings of my love affair with computer programming and the digital arts – and, more importantly – computer gaming. I stumbled on the BBC4 documentary Micro Men on the iPlayer last night – and I daresay I was quite impressed.
It’s nearly an hour and a half long, but it’s pretty compelling (not to mention nostalgic) if you were a fan of either the BBC Micro or ZX Spectrum. It documents the dawn of home computing, and the personalities behind the micros that broke the home market.
