Late Friday saw a request from Activision for the removal of Weapon Guide Express. It was complied with on my behalf by Machinima.
At this point I’m still not 100% sure on reasoning – unfortunately being the weekend I won’t have an update until Monday. Could be misunderstanding or other contractual issue.
Updates to follow as I’m able.
I think a lot of us would like the opportunity to share our opinion on this with Activision. I don’t suppose you could tell us the best way to do that?

you have a reason to worry guys, we’re not going to see any more xboxahoy videos unless we upgrade our CoD elite accounts. Activision wants more and more money, so in order to get people to pay $50 on CoD elite they’re forcing xboxahoy to remove his weapons guides so people will be willing to dish out more money to watch his weapons guides on CoD elite.

Yah, they probly made xboxahoy remove the videos because they have a weapon guide on elite tv. They want people to pay for the elite and remove all the free guides on weapons.

It’s not Activisions fault. XboxAhoy signed a deal to make videos for their Elite service and get paid. They are not going to let him post those same videos outside of their service.

What ever happened to freedom of speech? These guides were only of your opinion whether right or wrong. There is no secret to the content of what you have produced. Everything is readily available. Alot of the other commentators are producing similar things although far less superior. The game is flawed. It is receiving more hate mail than good. By removing this, it has removed probably the only good part of this game. Shame on you Activision.

Your videos have helped me a lot actually. But we have to understand that Activision (just like many other video game publishers) is miking the money cow. Activision wants to get more money from CoD elite. CoD elite s a purchasable program that is supposed to help your COD skills but because we can watch xbox ahoys videos freely, CoD elite wont get as much revenue as they wished for. I believe Xbox ahoy has a you tube partenership so he is payed for his videos. Or if he’s employed by Activision and his videos will be on CoD elite. But if he is not, then Activision ruined his carrer

I think we all need to stop taking the offense, and the rebellion and actually consider what has happened. XboxAhoy has an agreement with Activision regarding the production of his weapon guides (which in past have always been the best advice on YouTube by far). He took them down and complied not because he had no choice, because no doubt he could have fought had he wanted to, but because it was in his best interest to see what Activision’s reasoning and plans were. For all we know, they gave him some false information on a few of the weapons and they don’t want him to be giving out wrong information. Or perhaps they have ideas to make his videos more in depth and more useful. While I don’t appreciate their interference anymore then the rest of the community, we should give it time to discover the truth behind what is going on… and this may give XboxAhoy time to work on his other projects. Personally, I’m very interested in seeing ‘Behind the Lines’ continue and develop into a regular series. But over all, as a community, I think we should remain level headed and calm, and see how this issue unfolds… maybe this might have been for the better. XboxAhoy, I give my sincerest apology that Activision has messed around so greatly with your work, as I this is your art, and your profession, and you do it exceptionally well.I hope it all turns out for the best.

If Activision is going to stand their ground on this issue, they should at least pay you much more money, since the large number of views you get from each of your youtube videos net you a decent amount of money.
Anyways, I don’t think it’s smart for Activision to do this, as there will still be many people who will still bt xbox elite do to other benefits as well as a more thorough video guide. If anything, the weapon guide express may tempt more people to buy the elite package because they want to know more hints and advice on attachments, etc.
All in all, I agree with most of the other commenters. If there’s anything your viewers can do, I’m sure we will all be more than glad to help out. Best of Luck!

watched you when I came into the series at MW2, enjoyed ya in Black Ops, enjoyed the shorter Express series
but i have no plans to subscribe to elite and i doubt i ever will
so to that effect, did anyone follow another weapon guide maker other than ahoy?

I think they may have banned it from Youtube, yet I remember 3Arch having weapon guide for black ops, so maybe they want weapon guide from XBAhoy for COD-Elite only. Maybe, Maybe not.
